Grandparents

You choose how you would like to spend your day at CBU with your grandchild! When you register, you will select your schedule based on your personal preferences and your student's availability. DO NOT REGISTER YOUR GRANDCHILD. They are welcome to attend with you but do not need to register.

"Grandparents Rock" This class is designed to reinforce how Grandparents provide steady hands of encouragement, safety, and support. We will also highlight the values grandparents provide in our students and future leaders. BUSB 123 
"God in a Scientific Age"  How did the universe begin? How did life begin? How did we get here? These are important questions that our students regularly discuss, and science can shed light on them. Come explore what modern science actually has to say about each of these topics, and see how the scientific answers to each affirm rather than undermine our faith. BUSB 132A (Innov.A)
"Where is the Pencil Sharpener"  As computers have become commonplace, online education has also become commonplace - even among the oldest institutions of higher learning in America. Learn how both traditional and online students and professionals of all ages benefit from online classes and degrees.  BUSB 132B (Innov.B)

"Lancer Lightning Talks" Part 1 Collaboration. Connection. Community. This is a unique opportunity to join in on the inaugural “Lancer Lightning Talks” hosted by the Jabs School of Business. CBU students, alumni, and community leaders will share their stories of perseverance, success, and community. This class will take two time slots, lunch is provided. Innov. B 
 "Cold Chemistry" We will be investigating properties of cryogenic substances – Liquid Nitrogen and Dry Ice – and how they can be used in the chemistry lab.  James 235
"Sit and Fit" Looking for ways to tone up even though you have limited mobility? This is the class for you! The CBU Kinesiology department will show you how to get fit without ever leaving your chair. Events Center Plaza

"RISE" Resurrected Illustration Spells out Easter
This session trains anyone to perform and teach a captivating puzzle/trick, using just a simple piece of paper, by means of which you can entertainingly present the gospel to audiences of all ages.

"C.S. Lewis’ Remarkable Spiritual Journey" C.S. Lewis’ spiritual journey was long and complex, and he admitted later in life that he supposed his road to faith was rather rare. As we look at Lewis’ road back home to Christ, we will consider its major stages and factors. Staples

Free Time with your student Enjoy time with your CBU student! Visit the living areas, walk around campus, meet friends and faculty!

Play Preview "Barnum" - 7:30 p.m. *Single admission to the 4/11/19 performance included in each registration. **Student admission is $10 at the door. Barnum is an American musical based on a book by Mark Bramble, lyrics by Michael Stewart, and music by Cy Coleman. It is based on the life of showman P. T. Barnum, covering the period from 1835 through 1880 in America and major cities of the world where Barnum took his performing companies.  Wallace Theater
